Microdermabrasions

Once upon a time, there was a 36 years old woman who thought that she needed to prioritize things up in the pamper-yourself department. Freshly out of her confinement of her 5th child, she signed up for a package of 10+1 sessions of microdermabrasions at a dermatologist clinic in Subang Jaya. She had the micro sessions done, and stopped going there after the 6th session.

Six years later, the woman who is now 42, decided to give a call to the clinic. She managed to squeeze in to get an appointment for her micro. The beauty consultant, Joanna was surprised to see her. The expression on Joanna’s face when she first saw the woman was like -

“My God, it’s been so long, I thought this woman was dead”.

Anyway, the woman had her microdermabrasion done that day and made an appointment for her 8th session, scheduled three weeks after that. She was determined to finish off her remaining sessions. And be done with it. After all, she would be left with only 4 more sessions to go. Pejam-celik mesti habis punya...

Came Saturday July the 26th, she went for the appointment. The first thing Joanna did was to show the woman her log book. Apparently, Joanna did some checking and realized that the woman had signed up for another package of 20 sessions of microdermabrasions, during one of her sessions a few years back. And that too was already paid in full!

The woman was dumbfounded. How could she forgot about the second sign-up?

And yeap, that dumbfounded Pudding Head was ME!

As I’m typing this, I’m still mulling over the 23 microdermabrasions sessions that I have to go. Not that I don’t want to look pretty...(as if!) but I don’t know how I’m going to finish them off. What with the Non-Transferable written smugly on the clinic card, definitely can’t give them out as birthday gifts to my good friends. Looking at the history of facials I’ve done in the past, I had my facial done ONCE a year! If I were to keep the pace as it was, I’ll be 65 when I have my last session... if I lived that long!

We don’t want that to happen, do we? So I better cease this chatter and give Joanna a call....

Aiyoooo...macam mana boleh terforget, Ja?!

Nasib baik la jugak si Joanna tu baik and highlighted the fact to you. Kalau dapat yang nak untung aje? Gone with the wind lah duit you!

Anyway, at least you go for your facials on a yearly basis. The ONLY time I went for a facial in the whole of my 40 years of life was a few days before my wedding day!

I'm quite happy with my 3-steps home regime...Tak ader muka glamour nak maintain pun...Hehehe!

I was just about to suggest U sedekahkan one of the sessions to me, tapi tak boleh lah pulak...

There's no expiry date ya? As long as you shall live... Bagus betul package ni.

At least Shana has been to one. I ni tak pernah sekali pun buat facial lagi!!!

Sakit tak Kak Ja buat microdermabrasion ni? How far apart are the sessions ideally? Different ke the session dengan facial biasa ? Banyak plak tanya, sori ye..

Anom pun macam kak shana -- masa nak dekat wedding je pernah buat facial..

It's okay Kak Ja, it's good to have the opportunity to pamper yourself once in a while.. Treat this as a time out session. ;-)

Shana dear,
I think it's true when people say sekali beranak, banyak urat yg putus...LOL! I completely lupa that I dah signed up for the 2nd deal. Masa tu tengah offer rasanya, so I just grabbed it. Then terus tak pegi, sebab tu lupa terus tu.

And I thought I'm the only one yg tak buat facial! I know my friends ramai yg religiously pegi sauna la, massage la, facial la.... and I tabik spring to them.

But now I have to do the micro at least once a month... alamak....

Hi Mamamia,

I tak surelah pulak 'as long as you live' apply ke tak. So far 6 yrs tu ok lagilah kot. Rasanya kalau I nak buat once a year for 23years tu mesti tak penah dibuat dek orang.. hehehe...

Jom try Mamamia... buat facial biasa punya (jangan start dgn micro, nanti tak pi dah!). Saja2 pamper yourself kan... Massage pun ok jugak, tapi I kalau nak massage, suruh anak2... tu pun malas2 ... :P

Anom dear,

Micro tak macam normal facial. First time...sakit! Tak sangka macam tu punya rasa. Macam kena cubit halus-halus.. terkemut2 la jugak menahannya..he.he..

Anyway Kak Ja rasa, kalau selalu buat, kurangla rasa sakit tu. Actually kena buat like 3 weeks apart. Kalau dah biasa, rasanya sebulan sekali kot. Nanti Kak Ja tanya Joanna. The effect will be seen after a few sessions. But since Kak Ja buat setahun sekali.. macam tak ada maknanyalah, betul tak?

Zlaa,
I rasa I got memory blocked ke apa. Baru semalam I dok teringat pernah offer Linda dgn Ros to take up some sessions for themselves. (Tak tau lagi benda tu non-transferable). Maknanya, a few years ago, I still ingat about the sessions yg banyak tu. Macamana boleh lupa sekarang tak tau lah.

Confirmed urat putuih banyak ni...

Kak Ja,
now I know what's the problem with me! :) Banyak urat terputus lepas beranak...... HB was wondering why I can't remember a lot of things lately. hehehe
If you doing facial once a month... kulit Kak Ja will be so soft, cantiklah.... I think you should go there every month and it will only take you almost 2 years before you have to pay again. hahaha... Just do it, Kak Ja.

Hi Yatie,

If only I did the micro religiously, mesti dah licin micin muka Kak Ja sekarang ni..hehe...

Ya lah, I'll try to do it once a month... I'll see her The third week of Aug... TQ for the advice dear :)
